The painting, flooring and hygienic finishes contractor recently moved from its previous base at Knockbracken Road to smart new premises at Sydenham Business Park at Heron Road.
It marks the next chapter in the history of CB Contracts – a company that remains the only national sub-contractor in the UK to offer flooring and painting as a dual trade.
Established in 1984 by husband and wife team, Ellen and Colin Bunting, CB Contracts started life as a small painting and decorating business, mostly doing domestic work.
Over time this evolved. The company carried out its first flooring work in the late 1980s and by the early 1990s had moved into the commercial sector and continued to flourish.
Like many others in the construction industry, during the downturn in the market, CB Contracts sought work in Great Britain and this is a move that has proved worthwhile. The company continues to be very successful throughout this region, completing works from the logistically challenging Western Isles to the southern climes of Portsmouth and Brighton.
The opening of a London office in 2016 has cemented CB Contracts’ position in the GB market, while the move to the new Belfast headquarters will ensure continued growth in Northern Ireland and throughout all sectors.
