Kilbroney Timber Frame has played an integral part in the creation of a contemporary, low energy home.
Located within a cluster of farm buildings overlooking the picturesque Ardglass Marina, the new home was designed by 2020 Architects and is the perfect combination of contemporary aesthetics and low energy technology.
Kilbroney Timber Frame supplied the super insulated timber frame that is accompanied by triple glazed windows and combined with SVK fibre cement corrugated cladding, supplied by Rilco, as part of the overall, low energy design. Features such as a direct air intake stove and a mechanical heat recovery and ventilation system further enhance the low energy credentials.
As a result, the home can now be heated for approximately £180-£200 per year – that’s around 50p a day! This type of project is part of the complete design through to installation service that Kilbroney Timber Frame has been delivering for over 30 years.
