MacBlair ‘Be Seen’ Primary School Initiative

MacBlair have a new road safety awareness initiative for primary school children in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man

As Winter rolls in and the mornings get darker, MacBlair want to make sure young children can ‘be seen’ on their way to and from school each day.

Especially whenever there can be so many cars around schools in the morning, it can be difficult for motorists to see small children, especially when they are reversing. MacBlair branches across Northern Ireland have issued free hi-vis vests to local primary schools for their P1 classes.

The point of this initiative is help teach children about the importance of keeping safe around roads, especially when it’s darker during winter.

They also want to teach them about why MacBlair have to wear their hi-vis PPE for many different safety reasons, from their truck drivers to their counter staff.
