MacBlair Civils strengthens team to support construction growth

As major projects start to speed up after the covid slowdown, MacBlair Civils are ‘Here to Help’ with cost-effective solutions and technical expertise...

MacBlair Civils already offers a great selection of civils and environmental protection products to the civil engineering and construction industries, but this is set to expand as the firm focuses on growing its civils operation throughout its branches.
Key to that plan is their vastly experienced civils team, strengthened further with the recent appointment of Peter Hamilton as Business Development Manager. Peter is steeped in civils expertise having worked almost a decade as Scotland and Ireland Regional Manager for Aco Water Management. He joins Mark Davidson, MacBlair Civils Manager and Finbar McGrath, Civil Sales Representative and together they represent a formidable source of construction and technical civils knowledge.
“MacBlair Civils is very much focussed on servicing large-scale projects such as roads and infrastructure including projects in the commercial, education, health and leisure sectors,” says Peter. “To service that market effectively we need to build a key range of stock in each branch so it’s easily available to contractors, at scale and close to where they are working.
“Our focus is on our customers needs, providing them with onsite solutions and technical expertise backup covering every aspect of groundworks and civil engineering product specifications.
“We are deepening our relationships with a range of market-leading suppliers to enable us to provide these solutions.”
MacBlair Civils’ portfolio of product ranges include ACO channel drainage, access covers, manhole covers, below ground and above ground drainage, waste water management, twinwall, street furniture, waterproofing, treatment tanks and much more.
The product ranges are stocked in each of MacBlair’s 16 building supplies branches across Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man and are available on an ex-yard basis.

MacBlair Civils and all staff in the branch network are continually being trained to ensure they possess comprehensive knowledge of the materials supplied, thereby ensuring that quality advice for all civils and environmental protection related product is provided for all their customers.
Looking forward to 2021, Peter says, “The groundwork and civils sector was hit hard by the first lockdown, but things are improving and we’re optimistic about what’s ahead for next year. That’s why we’re building up what we can offer as a network to provide a supportive range of solutions to help contractors on the ground save time sourcing materials and give them cost-effective solutions.”
