Lafarge Cement, part of Aggregate Industries, has further strengthened its market-leading packed cement range with the introduction of five new products; Instant Concrete, High Performance Concrete, General Purpose Concrete, Mortar Mix and Postmix. With no mixing required and available in 20kg bags, both the High Performance and Instant Concrete products are quick, easy and ready to use – making the lives of builders and DIYers alike as hassle-free as possible.
In terms of application, the 40N strength High Performance Concrete is suitable for forming the base for domestic garages and driveways. Meanwhile, the 15N strength Instant Concrete is ideal for garden sheds, greenhouses and domestic footpaths and steps that require quick setting. The launch of these new products comes as Lafarge Cement’s response to rising demand from merchants and customers is to offer more specialised packed cement solutions. It follows the immense success of the business’ already well-established packed cement range, which is renowned industry wide for its excellent quality.
The new products will join Lafarge Cement’s existing portfolio of widely available packed cement solutions including Super White Cement and Rapid Set Cement. Guaranteeing a local supply of the highest quality, the General Purpose range is manufactured at the Cookstown Cement Plant in County Tyrone, which has a strong history within Northern Ireland, dating all the way back to 1970. In recent years, the plant has undergone a major rebrand, following the LafargeHolcim merger in July 2015, when it became part of Aggregate Industries.
