Business is booming at MacBlair Civils. With an extensive range of products specifically for the civils sector, branch manager Tom Dunn and the rest of the civils team are proving just why this branch of MacBlair is considered one of the leading civils specialist in the country.
The branch stocks a vast array of products for civils, including environmental protection, line and building drainage, waterproofing, all types of castings and manholes, water treatment tanks, separators and street furniture. Alumasc rainwater systems and rainwater harvesting are also currently proving popular with clients.
Both large schemes and smaller works are ensuring that the team at MacBlair Civils is kept busy. “Our civils side of the business is very project-driven. Customers are coming in for very specific products, requiring technical expertise. That’s where we come in,” said Tom Dunn, branch manager.
All members of staff are well trained on the products available from MacBlair Civils. “I’ve been here two years and in that time, I feel like we’ve made great strides. We put a new team in place and we’ve ensured customer service is the top priority. It’s all going extremely well.”
The branch is synonymous with high quality products and sound advice but is also known for its relationship with Aco. “We would be considered country-wide specialists in Aco line drainage products. We certainly have the biggest range and we have the in- house technical expertise to back that up. Civils contractors tend to gravitate towards us for that reason.”
As with all MacBlair branches, customer service is number one. “A happy customer comes back; we have a huge amount of repeat business. We strive to ensure our customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently. More often than not, if a customer is coming in for a product, it’s just a case of how quickly we can get the products to them or help them with a specific query. We’re known as the go to civils specialist in the country so customers come in to us for our expertise.”
Three lorries on the road and one van ensure customers get their deliveries on time. “We have non-stop deliveries throughout the province from both our civils hub in Boucher and our wider branch network. It’s all about ensuring the customer receives the highest quality customer service and benefits from our wide range of products at all times.”
